. it's personal. today our prayers are with the campbell family of medford. they're here today. their daughter crystal was always smiling. those who knew her said with her red hair and freckles and her ever-eager willingness to speak her mind, she was beautiful, sometimes she would be a little noisy. and everybody loved her for it. she would have turned 30 next month. as her mother said, through her tears, this doesn't make any sense. our prayers are with the liu family of china, who sent their daughter to b.u. so she could experience all this city has to offer. she was a 23-year-old student far from home. and in the heartache of her family and friends on both sides of a great ocean, were reminded of the humanity that we all share. our prayers are with the richard family of dorchester. to denise and the young daughter, jane. as they fight to recover. and our hearts are broken for 8-year-old martin. with his big smile and bright eyes. his last hours were as perfect as an 8-year-old boy could hope for. with his family eating ice cream at a sporting event. and we're left with two endurin

lingzi lu. 29-year-old krystle campbell and richard martin were killed. >> reporter: good morning, richard. let's talk about the investigation first. the authorities have been vesting photographs, images from anybody in the public. it appears that is now paying off, perhaps the most successful images coming from a security camera at lord & taylor across the street from the finish line. but those images show what appears to be somebody taking duffel bags and placing them at the spot where the bomb exploded. so there's a major focus of attention on those pictures trying to analyze them to see if they can then lead to who may indeed be a suspect. meantime, as you mentioned the president will be making a visit here to boston for an interfaith memorial service. the president will be joined here by so many bostonians. of course, one of the concerns, security has, because it's another large gathering if somebody would have tried to do something. they've told folks if they're gathering, they may not bring bags, backpacks. they should come with a few things, maybe a phone in their hand, bu

wanted to scare and shake the people of boston. good afternoon, i am john sasaki in for tori campbell. two days after the devastation in boston a explosion at a fertilizer plant in texas killed and injured many. it happened at a town near dallas. sal castaneda joins us with more. >> reporter: the explosion is blamed for the deaths of between 5 and 15 people according to authorities. the explosion's violent force was captured in this amateur video. watch closely as it quickly goes from bad to worse. >> -- sure the -- [ explosion ] >> officials say the explosion did not happen until nearly a half-hour after the initial fire. emergency responders already on the scene are among some of the missing feared dead. the scene is in the small community of west, texas, about an hour and a half south of dallas, it is near waco. the fertilizer plant had tank of anhad druse ammon ammonia, today the search continues. >> it is a slow methodical search and they are using every available resource they have to do that correct he and make sure we don't miss anything or anybody. >> today officials say the
